MANGUPURA, BALIPOST.com – The 7th Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction organized by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) held in Bali from 23 to 28 May 2022. The event is co-chaired by the Government of Indonesia and UNDRR.

On the first of the event, Monday, May 23rd, Sendai Focal Point Reception was held at Museum Pasifika. The event was to discuss strategic priorities for 2022-2023 as well as take stock of resilience efforts in the region as countries dealt with the historic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Philippe Augier, Founder of Museum Pasifika, the museum choosen as the reception venue during the first day of the conference by the UNDRR. United Nation for Disaster Risk Director Mr Ricardo Mena and Dr. Raditya Jati, S.Si., M.Sc. Deputy for System and Strategy of National Disaster Management Agency giving the speech during the event.

Museum Pasifika is located in The Nusa Dua area, Badung Regency.The Museum has a selected 600 artwork collection of throughout the Asia-Pacific.

Pasifika Museum has organized more than 65 international events/activities over the last 15 years. Welcomed 8 head of states and 300 VIP ministers and ambassador from around the world.

Several months ago, he continued, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, also chose to support the Museum Pasifika as one of the side venues for the G20 Summit delegation. (kmb/balipost)
