MANGUPURA, BALIPOST.com —The number of entrepreneurs in Badung district is still relatively small compared to the total population. At present, there are 16,000 entrepreneurs. Of this number, 30 percent are female entrepreneurs.
Seeing these conditions, the Regent of Badung, I Nyoman Giri Prasta, wished that the community will not only be satisfied to become workers but should be able to become entrepreneurs. The government will even support this endeavor through a number of programs.
“Don’t just think of being a worker, we want the workers to be able to become entrepreneurs. For example, the workers at hotels are able to facilitate hotel needs such as fruit and vegetables,” said Regent Giri Prasta, recently.
This official from Pelaga village, Petang, expected that beyond becoming a labor union, they can make communities / business groups that will be accommodated to be given capital assistance by the Badung district government through the relevant agencies so that they can compete in the industrial era 4.0.
“We in the district government will provide training and capital strengthening for business groups to strengthen their economy. We believe that whoever holds the economy will be the leader,” he said.
Regent Giri Prasta also hoped that even if the smallest problem occurred in the labor union, it should be resolved by deliberation, not through a demonstration.
“Please do not do a demonstration, you have to sit together to resolve it. We all cannot resolved the problems by ourselves, but I am sure all the problems have a solution,” he concluded. (Parwata/balipost)
