JAKARTA, BALIPOST.com – NTT Startup Challenge is a startup competition presented by NTT Ltd, subsidiary NTT Group, a largest ICT and telecom firm in Japan. This event is created to support startup ecosystem in Asia and scale the startup business through the alliance with NTT Ltd by providing cash award 10.000 USD, access to several investor networks and quality technological infrastructure.
After successfully held in 2017 and 2018, NTT Startup Challenge 2019 is back and held in Indonesia where lots of startups are growing rapidly. This year, this competition is reaching startups in a wider area, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Bali.
Unlike the competition in the previous year, the NTT Startup Challenge 2019 will hold a two-day event for the first time. On the first day of this event (November 20th), there will be a pitching session where 10 finalists will be presenting in front of judges and audience. 3 winners will be chosen and rewarded.
There will be around 400 entrepreneurs from all over Indonesia attending the final event.
For this year judges and speakers line up, there will be global VCs and investors from Asia, they are: Kuan Hsu (Co-Founder and General Partner – KK Fund), Akie Iriyama (Professor – Waseda Business School), Hiroshi Nishikawa (Partnership Manager – Orange Japan), Masa Fukata (Director – Game Changer Catapult, Panasonic), and Nikhil Kapur (Gree Ventures). In addition, there will be some Indonesian keynote speakers from a booming startup and a business and IT expert. They are Halim Wijaya (Country Head of Strategic Supply of Grab Indonesia), Indra Utoyo (Digital Information Technology and Operations Director of BRI), and a special guest whose identity is still withheld.
This month, the NTT Startup Challenge is entering the Final Event which will be held on Wednesday, 20th November 2019, at 13:30 – 19:30 (GMT + 7).
The venue is Soehanna Hall, The Energy Building Lt.2, SCBD Lot 11A, Jl. Jendral Sudirman Kav 52-53, RT.5/RW.3, Senayan, Kec. Kebayoran Baru, Kota Jakarta Selatan.
The second day, there will be a matching event on 21st November 2019. This event is an invitation only-event for the chosen startups to connect them with NTT Group network and invited VCs.
